Aprica-dabra! Our awesome new stroller.

Yes! Our search for a new umbrella stroller has finally come to an end! We searched high and low for a light weight, functional and affordable compact stroller that would fit in the trunk of our car and we have succeeded!

Our search began when our daughter's, at the time, only stroller was perfect for "off roading" and long walks/jogs but not compact enough for any other venture such as browsing the aisles at Target, Babies R Us or Buy Buy Baby (our new stores of choice). The Baby Trend Velocity is a mazing with pedometer, hook up for phone or iPod, great storage space and like I mentioned before great for walks and jogging.

Here's what we have now: Aprica Presto . It is everything we required in a stroller. Unlike most Maclaren strollers it has a sizable storage basket and breathable fabric. Also, the canopy protects the baby from harsh sun rays and has an extendable SPF 50 lip. It stands up on its own, it's super comfortable and LIGHT. My favorite feature is that it will not tip over when I put my heavy diaper bag on the handles. This is important when you're shopping and need a place for your purchases.

I must give honor to whom honor is due- The Stroller Queen helped make our selection a breeze. Her calling in life is to help people find their soul-stroller and although we did not consult with her personally we did use her reviews (and that of Consumer Report) as a guide.

Here are the contenders:
Bumbleride Flite
Peg Perego Si Classico
Uppababy G Luxe
